Manual Lymphatic Drainage

What is Manual Lymphatic Drainage?

Manual Lymphatic drainage is a light, skin-stretching massage that encourages the movement of lymph fluids around the body. The lymphatic system is the most neglected yet powerful system in our body. Its main function is removing bacteria, fungus, inflammation, parasites, and cellular waste from our body. Ever wonder why your body is not feeling better after suffering from chronic pain? Your lymphatic system may be the issue. If your system is unable to get rid of the waste, inflammation builds up, stays in the tissues, and then causes pain. Some health conditions that can benefit from this form of work are fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, Lyme disease, GI issues, arthritis, migraines, and many more.

This massage can also promote fluid to move out of the swollen limb after orthopedic and plastic surgery.
