Massage Therapy

For the majority of my clients I use an integrative approach to massage therapy that reads your body, and tells me what pressures and massage tactics will provide the best results. This may seem wild to some but, my training and experience help trace your pain points back to the source of the problem. This means, that the lower back pain you experience, could originate from your neck and shoulder. By addressing the tension at the source, I can better alleviate the pain you are feeling.

If you have specific massage needs, let me know! My areas of expertise are in:

One of the biggest trends in employee wellness is offering on-site business massage services. While there are a number of massage therapists that that provide chair massages locally, Lauren takes her service one step further; providing full table, massage therapy, at work!

That’s right! If you are going to treat your employees, treat them to the very best! On a massage table your body can fully relax enabling you to get the most from a 10-15 minute session. In a chair your back never fully relaxes, and due to the seated position, it’s difficult to target the lower back (most common area of pain). So, why settle for a chair massage when you could have a full table?

Lauren will work with your business to set up a schedule that fits you, and your employee’s needs. Generally speaking, Lauren can accommodate 4, 10m sessions per hour, or 3, 15m sessions (leaving room for cleaning & turnover). Contact Lauren today to figure out a schedule that works for your team!

Benefits of deep tissue massage:

Unlike forms of massage that focus on relaxation, deep tissue massage utilizes firm pressure and slow strokes that reach deeper layers of muscle and facia (the connective tissue surrounding muscles). Deep tissue massage is great for stress and pain relief.

Deep tissue massage is specifically good for treating:

  • Upper back or neck pain
  • Low back pain
  • Limited mobility
  • Recovery from injuries
  • Repetitive strain injury, such as carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Postural problems
  • Muscle tension in the hamstrings, glutes, IT band, legs, quadriceps, rhomboids, upper back
  • Osteoarthritis pain
  • Sciatica
  • Piriformis syndrome
  • Tennis elbow
  • Fibromyalgia

Why Prenatal Massage?

For a mother to be, prenatal massage provides emotional and physiological results. Prenatal massage is different than a typical massage because it focuses on the needs of the mother to be as her body changes. As your qualified prenatal massage therapist, my technique adapts to your body’s changes during each trimester.

Benefits of Prenatal Massage Therapy:

  1. Reduce Swelling – When your feet, legs, and hands start swelling during pregnancy, massage stimulates the soft tissue which helps move the extra fluid through your body, thereby reducing swelling, and leaving you feeling more comfortable.
  2. Relieve Lower Back Pain –  Helps relieve lower back pain including sciatic nerve pain by addressing those tight muscles in the affected area.
  3. Improve Sleep – Prenatal massage relaxes the nervous system and releases feel good hormones. This will leave you more relaxed and let you sleep better. That is something we all need!
  4. Prepare Your Body for Labor and Birth – Prenatal Massage can help you have an easier delivery. It will reduce your stress level and leave your muscles relaxed.
  5. Relieve Pain Naturally – Prenatal massage offers a natural, safe, drug-free alternative for pain relief.
